Do you listen to music while cycling?
  • Bone conduction is great! I use them to ride at a low volume. I can hear it if there is no traffic noise or big wind.

  • Touring in Switzerland / Große Scheidegg
  • Where I live it's flat so this is so beautiful and yet terrifying!

  • Took a Father's Day ride to snap my bike with a view on the bluffs of the Mississippi

My ride this morning was a leisurely one stopping for a few pictures and just enjoying the day instead of pushing watts.

NBD (to me) 2017 Trek 1.2

Facebook Marketplace FTW ....Saw a great deal hit FB and had to jump on it ASAP! It's not the cleanest because I had to hurry and switch pedals and bags over to commute to work!

Group for a couch potato wanting to get back into cycling?
  • If you have a local bike store go talk to them! They could point you to any local groups. Other than that check strava because they have online clubs you may be able to search for your city/area.

  • The weight loss is amazing! I am starting to hit the top 10's in strava and hopefully as I lose more I can get more/move up the list! I have a personal goal to complete a 100 mile ride before the end of summer and recently crossed off the 100km on my way to my goal!

  • My old ride bringing me back from the couch
  • Its a 2003 Trek 1000 all stock except I upgraded the brakes to 105 a few weeks ago . https://archive.trekbikes.com/us/en/2003/trek/1000#/us/en/2003/trek/1000/details

  • My old ride bringing me back from the couch

I bought this Trek in 2003 and rode it a bit but mostly garaged it because I had a new marriage and then 2 young kids. Now that they are old enough to be alone I decided to fall back in love with biking! I have lost 80 pounds, stopped taking most of my blood pressure meds, discovered smart trainers and how not boring it is to be inside now, and commute to work as much as possible and get away on my days off. I am almost at 1800 miles this year between the trainer and on the road.

Male female power cable keeps on coming loose while riding ebike. Help?
  • Is it physically separating or is there oxidation on the plug? Maybe some dielectric grease in the female side would help that?
