I signed out of Reddit on the 12th and that was it for me. Unless people actually leave a boycott was/is an empty stunt and Spez knows a lot of people will stay regardless.
I used 3rd party apps exclusively for an ad free nicely curated experience. Without that, it's a turkey of a site and gets worse each year.
Lived in the UK nearly 60 years, JWs are the only door to door religious folk I've known. They are coordinated, so If you talk too much sense you won't see them again. Probably had them knock under 10 times total at houses I've lived in. They are not ubiquitous or bothersome.
I use a case, one that also protects the face with high edges, also a screen protector, the hard perspex type. Well worth protecting your investment.
Here in the UK flags are rare, I don't think there is a single one in the entire village. I think people here on the whole, are intelligent enough to realise rallying behind a picture printed in a piece of cloth doesn't really say or achieve much. It's more something the ruling class encourage to distract you from their meddling in/with your life.
I hope it's a lot less US centric, I know it's English language and that's expected to a degree but the overload of crass items from America documenting it's slow demise was destroying my head.
Agreed, couldn't care less about Reddit, the protest was a damp squib in most respects, Spez knew it would be business as usual Wednesday so just waited until it all blew over. Some are carrying on, they say mods may be forced out, if people had any sense they'd walk away from the place. We were slowly but surely being turned into product.
Well I'm nearly 60, a Redditor from the Digg exodus days and I'm here. Not really sure wtf is going on but I'm sure over the next few weeks I'll get there. This is it now, I deleted everything else SM wise, everything gone. Just fed up with it all but I feel I need an outlet for my ideas and opinions!
