"take a few months off and take care of yourself"
  • I'd say do some exploration to find and/or pursue some activity that makes you happy that you don't normally have time to do, or don't prioritize. Spend some time in nature if possible. Give yourself permission to do something for yourself instead of for someone else.

If you're at all like me, you have a laundry list of projects that you are interested in but never get around to working on. That's always a good place to start.

Good luck, I'm rooting for you!

  • I agree in principle, but I'm not sure what a good alternative is in the US today. In a crisis the laws would have to stay ahead of the executive responses to novel situations, and the legislature couldn't pass a law that fast if there was an angry mob at the door.

  • Today (2024-05-15) is Rooster Teeth's final day of operation.
  • It's one of life's great mysteries, isn't it? Why ARE we here? Are we the product of some cosmic coincidence? Is there really a god, watching everything? I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night.

I can't believe I'm able to type that from memory 20 years later. RIP RT

  • No it's true. I run ha in a docker container too, and it doesn't support the plugin supervisor at all. You have to spin up your own plugin containers manually and configure the connection to them in the core ha instance, that's what I did with piper/wyoming. I'd be happy to share a compose file if someone wants it.

  • As a non-vegan, can I ask you a question? I've attempted vegan cooking, and it weirds me out to have a meal like this of carbs on carbs with a side of carbs. Is there a strategy to mix it up, or do you get used to it?
