They flat out made up shit about him even though, before the cold war, Life magazine literally did an article on him rizzing the USSR up as a bastion of democratic virtue. Case in point: a lot of the genuinely fucked up shit that happened in the USSR was Lenin, yet you never hear a peep about him.
