Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I think it's better for desktop. Stable is truly targetted for servers and desktop users will only be mildy inconvenienced once in a blue moon.
My desktop has been Debian testing since Jessie. I was inconvenienced a total of 2 times where something broke and made an app unuseable. My KDE menu was fixed within a day and my torrenting app took longer to fix, but I was able to apply a one line fix in the meantime with help from our awesome community.
I know it's named "testing", but I'd bet it would be very stable for most people's use cases and trade off is absolutely worth it if people would give it a try.
I'm sad to say that those advertisements worked on me. When a young man needs to buy an engagement ring, name recognition, albeit in a negative light, got me to spend money with them. I just went to the first place that popped in my head.

- He had a lot going on in his personal life, and that contributed to Edmonton as a choice.
- Did not take the highest offer when he joined the Oilers.
- One of the other teams was an East coast team that had a lot of Russians and he didn't like the team culture.
- MacT, on first meeting Sheldon, criticised him in front of the whole team for not being ready for training camp. Souray had just had surgery and wasn't healthy for training camp. MacT put extra pressure on him which could have contributed to further injuries.
- Tom Renney told him to fight Iginla, and he broke his hand during the fight.
- After the surgery, he got a staph infection that was life threatening. While trying to recover, he's being accused of milking an injury.
- He says he was done being an Oiler after one season, but wanted to try his best to enter season two playing well so he could get traded.
- He had a story about Pat Quinn back stabbing him. The two had a conversation, but Quinn then had a press conference and threw him under the bus.
I get the feeling that this a "he said, she said" type of situation, but the rumours about how bad the Oilers organization was really fits well with Sheldon's version of events.

When I was younger, I quit Bioshock when I ran into a Big Daddy that I just could not kill. The difficulty was on normal and I refused to change it to easy out of stubbornness. In retrospect, I think I missed a very cool gaming experience because of that.
I'm just now playing Prey (2017) on story mode, not respecting any of the enemies at all, and still having a really good time. On the flip side, if Elden Ring had the ability to adjust difficulty level, I think it would ruin the game.

Do you have any concerns about the amount of smoke that comes from soldering? Do you have a ventilation system that's out of frame? I don't solder often, so I rigged myself a maneuverable 80mm fan and taped some activated charcoal filter onto it. I'm not sure if it actually helps, but I feel better having it on.
