I’m letting them all bloom. There are even more now and there are still new ones popping out. My floor is covered in pollens. I don’t know if they do a deathbloom but I’m starting to fear this might be it since the flowers keep coming and no new leaves.

Yeah they get really big but I’ve got the room. I would’ve added more photos but it seems that at the moment you can only add 1 to a post.

I recently repotted the beast and am now propagating the corms I found. 1 of the 2 zebrinas in the pot has some mild variegation and I’m hoping that one of the new pups will have a more stable variegation.

That’s pretty damn close if you ask me. I would be happy with that.

I’m missing a houseplants community and a jig saw puzzle community

Although lots of tapwater around the world is safe it might still be a good idea to boil the water or buy bottled water when your on holiday in another country. There are different bacteria in different water and if you’re not used to those bacteria you could end up with diarrhoea during your stay.

I’m from Belgium myself and when I go to Spain I never drink from the tap, bc I found out the hard way once. But water in France and the Netherlands are safe for me.

The account name is just bot or lemmybot and I saw lots of the posts you describe in explainlikeim5 for example, but I don’t remember from which instance this community was. Not the one on Lemmy.world. But there were more communities with lots of bot posts like that.

And I do put my app when I open it on all. So I can see the other instances and find new communities I want to join. I also put my weblink on all. So that can’t be making te difference in why I don’t see any bots on the weblink and almost only botposts on my Mlem app.

So I can just block it? It’s not like real people also post in that community that could be of interest? It’s just a bot community? And how do I block it? (Haven’t tried it or looked for it myself)

You’re probably right that the problem will get worse. So maybe we need to decide as a community if we want to let things like this happen.

Thanks for explaining, I agree. Just copying Reddit isn’t going to enrich the fediverse. On the contrary. We need to make our own posts, our own discussions, useful information and our own databases.

Where you moving to?

In society alcohol is viewed as ‘cozy’. Something you do with other people that makes being together more fun, that brings connection. When you say no it does make people afraid they are being judged, which sucks all the fun out of it for them, so they can often judge you and try to convince you otherwise.

I would love to contribute, but I’m still finding the fediverse chaotic and difficult to manage. And I haven’t really found the communities in which I’ve got something interesting to share. Hell I don’t even always manage to subscribe to communities cause suddenly I’m supposedly not logged in (which I am) and even worse on the kbin app, I don’t even know how to subscribe to a magazine. So as long as I’m not getting it it’s probably best to stay away from posting. But I’m staying off Reddit and upvoting everything I see here to help out as much as I can and know how to.

I would like to join your illustration community. But it links to the kbin app/style and I don’t know how to join on that page. I’ve tapped on everything left and right and I’ve still got no idea how to subscribe to anything.

You can push a star icon which I’m assuming makes it a favourite or something so you can find the post again. Haven’t figured out where you can find it again. But tbh haven’t really looked for it yet either.

Oh wauw, what a special dog. He just doesn’t like food, how weird. I can imagine that feeding time with him is more dramatic than trying to make a toddler eat broccoli or some other vegetables 😅

So if you didn’t make him eat he would starve himself to death? Poor captain killian. He gets sick from food? Or why does he need the nausea medication? Or is it just in case since no doctor can figure out why he doesn’t like food. I’ve got So many questions!
