I tried to write a guide on how to host your own Lemmy instance
Learn how to unlock the potential of self-hosting with Lemmy, the federated link aggregator and discussion platform. My comprehensive step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of setting up Lemmy using Docker Compose and enabling federation
With 0.18.1 being released, I was able to install my own Lemmy instance and get federation to work!
That is very cool! :D let me try as well and answer a question that came up.

Switching to all comments of a post
Hi there!
Trying out the Memmy app since it is now on the app store. great work!
One question though:
When I get a notification about a comment on my post, or when I go to my profile and click on my comment, it will open just that single comment and only show the main post above. I see no way to open the full post with all other comments, or at least the relevant comment-hierarchy?
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!
great! even better aligned than mine :D its hard with all the tourists
PhotoPrism is a really big one for me. You will need some computing power and storage, but being able to run your own Google Photos is amazing. Including AI features like object and face detection (if you want).
Experiences with CX-5?
Hi there :)
We are expecting a child and are looking for something bigger. The CX-5 has caught our eyes and I have read good things about it.
Can someone share their experiences with the car?
Die spinnen die Amis
How would this work with this example magazine from kbin? https://kbin.social/m/tech this should become the following, shouldn't it? https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]
Testing out both. Still not sure which one I like more
Syncing community subscription between instances?
Hi there
I started out on kbin.social and I am now also trying lemmy.world. Is there an easy way to sync my community/magazine subscription between those two, or any two instances?
Other than just manually searching and subscribing to them again?
Thanks
