[I made] basic white bread
  • That looks like some damn good bread!

  • What are you reading this week? [7/30/23]
  • I'm currently reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. Genre is non fiction... productivity? self help?

Anyways, I kind of like his ideas so far although some of them do sound like there's a huge survivorship bias going on. There's a bunch of "if this totally real person I met at some point in my life can do in, so can you!" which I'm not too on board with, but the general idea of starting a new habit on your terms is so far pretty enjoyable.

[Shams] NBA has approved two new gameplay changes for 2023-24 season: 1) In-game penalty for flops resulting in technical FT, 2) second coach’s challenge awarded if first challenge is successful
  • I'm all for calling flops, but that sounds like a difficult thing to watch out for. I'm looking forward to seeing how do they define a flop and how many of them are called once the season starts.

  • The final path to descend Mt San Jacinto, CA leading into the desert. You can't really appreciate it but there's a bunch of wind generators on ground level.

I like lemmy so far and am so grateful to people who engage 😁
  • I would guess that's a federation issue. Probably someone from your instance subscribed for the first time when the first of those 4 was published so none of the previous ones are synced, but you should be able to see all future ones :) Thanks for checking it out!

I'm close to running out of my own photos to share 😭😭😭

  • Waking up above the clouds
  • Probably 2m or so. It wasn't impossible to see, but it was hard. I don't think I took a picture from inside the cloud but I think I do have a closer look to the top of the clouds that I can post later today. I think they look pretty.

  • Waking up above the clouds
  • yes, that's just sometimes. I believe it has to do with the weather pushing hot air up so the clouds come down or something.
I'm not sure how would it work during a storm, when I climbed down it was just a cloudy day and going through them felt humid as if walking through fog :)

    Lemmy.world status update 2023-07-04
  • Just a heads up, you're using kbin which is a different "website" than lemmy. You are also seeing a thread that originated in lemmy. That means both kbin and lemmy can see each other's content, but the website UI is different between them so if you read about some UI element and can't find it in kbin that might be one of the reasons.

That being said, kbin also has a sidebar with useful information. In the mobile site you can find it at the very bottom on the page, since it doesn't fit to the side in such a small screen.
