Should I get an iPad or a gaming laptop for college?
  • As someone who used an ipad for sheet music, its definitely super nice, especially with the apple pencil for wuick markups. I'm extremely disorganized so having all of my music in one app was a ligesaver multiple times

  • Gaming hot takes?
  • I mean the b-movie feel is definitely the attractor, not a detractor for fans. I totally understand how thats not everyone's cup of tea tho.

I will say that the stealth sandbox in MGS3 and MGSV rival what other great stealth titles like Splinter Cell, Thief etc have to offer.

  • Gaming hot takes?
  • That's why i loved Divinity Original Sin 2, fairly sparse combat, only when necessary, and when it wasnt necessary it was short and sweet. Made the combat quite a treat, certainly helped that it was an amazing system

  • Absolute beginner here, a little overwhelmed. Can someone take a look at this build and tell me how to improve it? Trying to keep it sub $1000
  • Honestly, depending on your savings, a used GPU can still be quite a good deal. While it is true that a GPU used for mining or such could be on its last legs, you can do a lot to extend its life such as slightly undervolting and underclocking it. If it's a difference of $50 or more, i think it's worth it

  • Honestly that looks like a pretty solid build. Only real suggestion i have is try searching around for used parts in your area on craigslist, facebook marketplace and such. With a little luck and some negotiation skills, you could score some nicer parts for less money
