What user.js are you using?
  • none.

I try to live by the rule "if it isn't broken, don't fix it", and I haven't observed anything broken so far, so no need for tweaking stuff.

  • Baldur's Gate 3 Actor Mocks Lae'zel Haters In Character
  • I'm painfully aware, but this is how the dice were cast.

  • Baldur's Gate 3 Actor Mocks Lae'zel Haters In Character
  • She sounds like a fun character, after the intro, first bumped into her at "the bridge", couldn't deal with the dragon peeps at the moment so I thought the situation would stand still until I intervened... well, resouding nope on that.

She ded, wouldn't even talk to me with undead talking spell. Failed her hard.

Actually meeting the character some time next playthrough is something I'm looking towards

  • First conversation with Withers
  • I asked him because he just appeared to my camp. Somehow completely skipped the tomb he was supposed to be in...

  • This is far too accurate
  • Maybe the tadpole ramps up sex drive? It's full on Camp hornyjail out there

  • Patch #1 Now Live!
  • Heresy.

  • Patch #1 Now Live!
  • the forums seem to be down, probably "hug of death". Can you or anyone else who might have had luck accessing it to copypaste the changelog here? Thanks <3

  • Not my finest piece of work, but would you buy it if noctua made this partnership?
  • wouldn't be the first time noctua took part in something that's quite a bit removed from their regular products, though. Drop sells a noctua -colored custom keycap set, for example.

  • Baldur’s Gate 3 is Causing Some Developers to Panic | IGN's Destin Lagarie pushing back on devs that criticize BG3 for setting a higher standard for the game industry
  • Haven't really paid attention to their reviews, BUT their "devs react to speedruns" youtube series has been an absolute blast.

Some devs get completely discouraged (jokingly, I hope), some jokingly start firing whoever designed the mechanic/level which allows shenanigans etc. Though sometimes they have suits (the business peeps, energy vampires) as reaction people, and those episodes are soul drainingly horrid, ngl. The more involved in design the people on board, the better.

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • I do like most crpg games on easy. I'm playing for the story, not the combat.

  • All Path of Exile 1 and 2 microtransactions will be usable in both games unless they're 'hyper-specific to the content of one of them'
  • Surprisingly decent of them, but then again considering how much real money some of the "micro"transactions cost, it would have been an uprising if ihey didn't do it.

  • How can I scrub GIFs in Firefox / show video playback controls on them?
  • that isn't strictly speaking a gif. imgur (among other image/video/etc hosting) can do a lot of tricks. that ".gifv" at the end of the url makes it present the "gif" as a video (mp4, in this case).

If you change the url to end with just ".gif", then it'll show it as an actual gif

  • Yeah, she is the one
  • Armigers/wardogs?? She's a keeper.

  • Recommendations for a emulator horror game?
  • only because I'm playing it currently: Eternal Darkness, for Gamecube.

Basically it's somewhere between silenthill and resident evil, eldrich horrors and all that, sanity effects. Not terribly spoopy, because even I'm able to play it (and I'm pretty much a wuss when it comes to horror).

The game has combat, not as much as RE but I guess somewhat as much as what I remember from Silent Hill 2.

Pretty decent game for it's age, imo.

  • Finally moved to arch from Windows
  • inching towards making the same jump.

Currently the things holding me back are music production stuff (mainly vst/vst3 plugins and their draconian drm). If anyone has any first hand experiences with eg. iLok and the plugins working under wine, it would be grand <3

Games wise... does raytracing in games work under linux? eg. Cyberpunk 2077, gog -version.

  • Using NVSlimmer
  • honestly can't remember / don't know, been ages since I started using that. sorry :/

E: But, no harm done if you uninstall the existing driver & software first, I guess?

  • Using NVSlimmer
  • never heard of nvslimmer, but by the sound of it it does exactly the same as nvcleanstall, which I have used. Basically, I only install the driver and physx from the nvidia driver package, with telemetry disabled during the install (so, no ads and such nonsense during install).

    https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-nvcleanstall/

edit: and nv control panel from the windows store thingy (which is dreadful, imo)

  • What do you guys think about the new system requirements?
  • I kinda find it odd that they up the CPU requirement a bit for rt... Why? I thought the RT happens entirely on the GPU.

Playing current version at 1440p, RT=psycho at pretty stable 60fps with a rtx3090 and a ryzen 9 3900x. Not too keen on upgrading anytime soon if I can avoid it. Fairly confident I can find playable settings with decent eyecandy with PL, but probably need to drop a notch from current settings (if they are even directly comparable).

  • Some retro guardsmen
  • Harold lost his pelvis while fighting tyranids, they stitched him back together from what remained.

    Pretty dope repro's!

  • Some retro guardsmen
  • ookay, what kind of an abhuman is the 3rd guy from the right? Those proportions are wack
