totally unrelated time in the screenshot, I'm sure
I use https://owlbear.rodeo/ for that. It allows you to cast your map to a 2nd screen in player mode, while you can still see the full picture. It has 'fog' to hide areas from the players and supports zooming in on each screen separately, or you can sync zoom&view (manually or continuously) from your dm screen
No. Read this.
That is what 'automation' often is. You take a working process, then let machines do as many steps in that process as you can. Harvesting crops, sending memos, robots spraypainting car parts, self driving cars (We still have a lot to do there)
Building on that it gets even more interesting as we try to find better, or even completely new processes.
I was part of a gaming club in Europe from 1983. I learned to play D&D basically just like Dragonlance depicted when it was published in 1984. So, for us, it was more of a reinforcement than a revolution.
How was this handled in the age of typewriters?
How on earth did English typography get so weird with mdash, ndash, dash, hyphen, etcetera while most of the readers have no clue about the the differences. IMHO, just use dash.
Can you explain me how the different lengths of dash add to the understanding of the text, when I usually don't even see the difference on my mobile phone screen?
The description of room K3 gives some clues; it describes the different bridges as "the 50-foot-high bridge" and "the 30-foot-high bridge".
No, the spell is only cast once, for all partners at the same time. "A creature can benefit from this rite again only if widowed".
persons. The spell allows polygamy. Also, no gender restrictions. You can marry all of your party into one big family, RAW. You may need to check the local laws, though.
By the way, the spell does not allow for divorce - it's strictly "till death do us part".
Not sure if it can be done for all plants, but it can certainly work for some. It's called Grafting.
Just updated apps on my phone. Appears to be doing three updates at once. Still, a huge improvement.
I can only say that in my experience, it works ok.
Same in Dutch: aardappel (aard=earth, appel=apple)
The current app is pretty useful. I can
- access all the content that I have bought on dndbeyond
- view the player characters that are playing in my campaigns
- play my own character(s) as a player, including dice rolls if I want. For major changes to my character it redirects to the website, but it handles all common in-play updates directly in the app (hit points, conditions, inspiration, equipment, preparing spells etc)
Be aware that you can purchase new content in the app or on the website, and the prices may differ between the two. In my case, the app uses Euro prices including VAT, while the website uses USD prices where the Sales Tax/VAT will be added on checkout. Most promotions will only work on the website.

Players who only have access to the 2014 Player’s Handbook will maintain their character options, spells, and magical items in their character sheets. Players with access to the 2024 and 2014 digital Player’s Handbooks can select from both sources when creating new characters.
To have one entity that controls all three(+) factions, they must have a goal that is not depending on the success or failure of any faction – it will most likely depend on the fact that there are multiple factions opposing each other. Who is gaining anything from chaos and discord? There are several candidates present in the book:
- Captain Xendros. She is essentially a foreign agent that cares only about fish for her country, and magic items.
- Keledek. Just like Xendros, he uses the smugglers to get access to magic items, but he gains security by having a strong-ish government that protects his property.
- Granny Nightshade. The more inner struggles Saltmarsh and Keoland have, the less they will bother her. The Brotherhood can be a good tool for her to keep the power of the others in check.
- The Sea Princes. Although the loyalists hate them, supporting this faction will keep the smuggling operations more profitable, and the princes may also get insight in possible Keoland secret plans through the loyalists. The Brotherhood gives the princes a tool to kill their adversaries in all of Keoland.
Another option that I have thought about is Xolec. Maybe he is connected to other vampires like Strahd? Then there may be Vistani involved as messengers?
You are wrong, till is perfectly fine – and so is til. See Merriam-Websters article about this, at https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/should-you-use-until-or-till-or-til
