Are there any good casual/low-stress mobile games that aren't filled with microtransactions?
  • One time purchase:

    • Peglin ✨
    • Luck be a landlord ✨
    • Forager
    • Dicey dungeons
    • Dead Cells (optional DLC)
    • Bloons Tower Defense 6 (out of the way IAP) ✨
    • Terraria
    • 20 minutes till dawn (has a non premium option with some micro transactions)

    Free:

    • Antimatter dimensions (long idle-ish game) ✨
    • Legends of Runeterra (just play the story modes) ✨
    • Team fight tactics (cosmetics only)
    • Plague inc (and probably rebel inc, but I haven't played that yet) ✨
    • Super Auto Pets (cosmetics and extra optional sets) ✨

Star on the ones I'd specifically recommend for casual play

  • We can't even talk in this community dedicated to vegans without someone coming along and meatsplaining.
  • Fair question. Right now I live with my family, and basically everything we make has meat in it and since I don't cook I don't really get a say in it. Everything I choose to eat for myself is vegetarian, so I'm at doing a little.

Even tho it's hard for me to stop rn, it's not like you guys are wrong about the horrible conditions and treatment of animals in farms so it would be hard for me to argue against y'all.

  • Non-vegan here. I was going to reply one time, but even tho I was supporting y'all I realized it's not really my place to speak. This community is supposed to be your safe space, and I respect that. I hope y'all have a good one and wish you all luck.

  • 2nd-largest school district, Los Angeles Unified School District, votes to ban cellphone and social media for students starting in 2025
  • Not exactly related, but I remember being given instructions for what to do with your cellphone during a shooting, bomb threat, etc. The plan was to at regular intervals (maybe 10 minutes?) text that you were okay to parents, and then shut off phones so the communication wasn't flooded. Bc I'm proud to be an American!

  • Why didn't anyone remind me the dual booting exists?

I was talking to my dad yesterday and he talked about how he dual booted windows and Linux in his college days. I immediately left to download Ubuntu, I feel so dumb for forgetting it's an option. I literally only use windows so I can play Fortnite with friends. PSA: you can have both Linux and Windows, or you can use a vm in Linux. Be (mostly) free from Microsoft's clammy hands.
