I don’t think this move will destroy the platform. However, if they stick with the usual enshittification across time (loss of features, increased costs to users , etc) it may reach a tipping point. I could be wrong, but I don’t think this is the straw to break the camel’s back.

Some of the Reddit community is outright hostile to the fediverse and decentralization in general. Apparently the lot of us are too nerdy over here.
