perfect/near perfect albums
  • Apparently according to Spotify I was in the top 2% of Pink Floyd listeners in 2022? I only listened for 751 minutes though, which isn’t that much. Mostly listening to The Wall on repeat.

That's almost 13 hours, which it's not excessive considering the album is about 2 hours long but still shows how much you like it :)

There is a movie that goes along with The Wall, of you didn’t know. I think that it kind of narrows the ability of people to interpret the songs in their own way but it’s still excellent. It’s part love action part animated. If you haven’t seen the hand drawn animation that goes along with Goodbye Blue Sky and The Trial, you should definitely check it out. It’s absolutely insane.

Actually the animation part of The Trial is the only thing I know of the movie, lol. Creepy yet beautiful

I saw The Wall Live in like 2011/2012 and it was an incredible show. The 40 foot puppets torturing Pink were awesome. The mom puppet appears in the song Mother and her eyes glow red, the words “big mother is watching you” splays across the wall set as her head swivels back and forth over the crowd…

Ok that I have to see it. I'll see if I can find it.

Listen to Wish You Were Here! It’s generally about the loss of their dear friend and band founder Syd Barrett, a musical visionary lost to the challenges of schizophrenia/the origins of the band. It’s very very good. Some of David’s best guitar is in the Shine On You Crazy Diamond songs.

    Will do!

  • What are you cooking/eating this week?
  • I ate puertorrican style arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) yesterday, the day before I don't actually remember 😅

I want to see if one of these days I make some Pasta Alfredo ideally with chicken.

  • How are you dealing with all these new anti-trans/LGBTQ+ laws?
  • The government of Puerto Rico has many problems, but shitty anti-LGBT laws aren't one of them fortunately. The politicians are too busy using the age-old "statehood, current status, or independence" as a wedge issue to even think about other, more relevant topics. And as a result many LGBT supportive bills have been approved, the Civil Code was even ammended to explicitly protect same gender marriage.

I don't fear much for a government problem, but for a personal problem. I'm going to start transitioning as soon as possible because my mental health can't take it anymore, and while I'm doing that I'll be saving money, but if my parents find out too soon...needless to say it could end up very badly.

To answer your question, since I already have too much pressure on me, I decided to avoid as much as possible these news. A part of me feels bad for looking the other way, but reading news after news of yet another state making people like me miserable, it takes a toll on me.

  • Stop Doing Discord
  • Discord is Gen Z Facebook now. I want to leave it so bad but at this point I would miss 95% of my friends(both online and irl), plus the communities that are not tech savvy enough to build a Matrix bridge.

  • What are some of your LEAST favorite game mechanics?
  • Pretty much every 3d mario game has nailed it pretty well, Super Mario Galaxy and Oddysey being my favorites. Sonic is very hit and miss, but i've heard good things about Sonic Frontiers. Kirby and the forgotten land is also very good. I haven't played a hat in time but the gameplay looks phenomenal. The Crash Bandicoot series is also very decent.
