Modern slavery ‘a feature’ of care sector in England since Brexit
  • Owners of care homes in 'current year' are potentially the worst example of unregulated capitalism. Somehow managing to profit off of the suffering of both the workers and the residents/residents families. It's awful and not even like it's that easy to fix because most can't afford the higher costs that come with ethical care homes.

  • What Are You Reading?
  • Let us know how it holds up, I remember it as a kids book but maybe it's better than that.

I'm still reading the stormlight archive as per forever but also the secret barrister and just started asimovs foundation which has been on my list for years.

  • Energy bills: 13m British homes ‘did not turn on heating when cold last winter’
  • I lived with a lad last winter who said he never switches the heating on. I went back to pick up some stuff just after I moved out and it was 3 degrees inside the bedroom... No thanks. The government is completely failing people like him.

  • What Are You Reading
  • I'm three quarters of the way through the stormlight archive after nearly a year! It's superb but very very long. The dialogue and characters are actually worse than I expected but the story and world building is incredible. And there was recently finally an emotional moment for me.

I'm also reading the secret barrister which makes the bottom of your stomach fall out with how sick you feel. This Tory government has taken something that was t working well and ground it into the dust so it barely works at all. Everything is to get cases processed faster instead of obtaining justice.

  • Stag do coming up in Krakow, anything I should know?

I've read stuff on Reddit in the past about people charging your card multiple times or other general dodginess. I think I'll try not to get too drunk as one defence but being informed would be useful too. Anyone got some tips?

UK Transport or Urban Planning content

I'm sure I'm not the only one to have enjoyed the recent boom on YouTube of urban planning and transport content from the likes of NJB, citynerd and citybeautiful. Not to mention the one of videos from others like Adam something etc.

However they all either have an NA focus or a worldwide focus and I've not been able to find something similar regarding the UK of any quality. There's Gareth Dennis' podcast but it's a bit too difficult to engage with for non pros. Any thoughts or should I start my own channel?!
