RARBG, one of the world's largest torrent sites, has announced "farewell" to its millions of users, marking the and of an era.
Human being grown raises so many question: who are the legal parents, can they inherit, can they have siblings and a typical sibling relationship, who's responsible for the chid education and welfare, what's the effect on culture, what's the effect of human generic diversity and evolution.
A paywall can be a fair way for publishers to get subscribers and revenue.
Here it's less fair since it's an anti-adblock paywall that specifically targets user who obect to targeted advertising. It's trying to pressure readers into accepting tracking by advertisers.
Probably they'd keep making money through ads, but less so since they couldn't rely on their in-house ad monopoly, and may have to give a cut to a third party ad platform.
It'd be easier to avoid turning earth into an arid desert, like Mars is, than making Mars habitable.
Former President Donald Trump has been arrested at the federal courthouse in Miami. He will soon face charges related to mishandling classified documents. During the proceedings on Tuesday, deputy marshals took electronic copies of his fingerprints.

On watch in the Argonne Forest on May 14, 1918, he fought off a German raid in hand-to-hand combat, killing multiple German soldiers and rescuing a fellow soldier while suffering 21 wounds, in an action that was brought to the nation's attention by coverage in the New York World and The Saturday Evening Post later that year.
In 1918, the French awarded Johnson with a Croix de guerre with star and bronze palm. He was the first U.S. soldier in World War I to receive that honor.
On June 2, 2015, he was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Barack Obama in a posthumous ceremony at the White House.
Veterans Bureau records show that a "permanent and total disability" rating was granted to Johnson on September 16, 1927, as a result of his tuberculosis infection. Additional Veterans Bureau records refer to Johnson receiving monthly compensation and regular visits by Veterans Bureau medical personnel until his death.
Johnson died on July 1, 1929, in Washington, D.C., of myocarditis. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery on July 6, 1929.

That's a good article with lots of context on the issue.
However one thing is missing: round trip efficiency figures. The whole process of turning electricity into heat, then back into electricity, is probably low efficiency.
There is discussion of directly using stored heat for industrial processes or heating. That's probably a better use of energy since it avoid some conversation losses.
A motion sensor in the hallway to turn on the light is handy. It can be found in most hardware store. No need for Internet nor Amazon account nor smartphone. Your grandma, grandpa, toddler, local burgler, anyone can turn on the light.
Students in states with a greater proportion of LGBTQ-inclusive sex education have lower odds of experiencing school-based victimization and adverse mental health. These findings can be used to guide intervention development at the school and state levels.
Even if it's not practical right away, that's just a reason to vote to put people in charge who would make it practical and convenient.
It's also possible to join a non-profit that engage with the public and local governments to make bicycle-friendly infrastructure happen.
That's a good guess. Mentioning admins @gaywallet !@alyaza to bring this to your attention.

Science communication could use a few puns.
If you know which school he goes to, you could try searching for classmates on social media.
If you don't want/can't mention your relationship, you could say you're an online gaming buddy, a member of the same guild, or some plausible online thing. You could explain you're worried he hasn't been online lately, ask if people know him and have seen him at school recently.
Don't try to travel alone, especially as a minor, you would put yourself at risk. If you have evidence of danger for your friend, but don't want to involve your parents try reaching to an adult who you can explain this to and trust. Maybe that could be a teacher, aunt, uncle, grandparent, neighbor. Or it could be a local LGBT organization. Don't forget to save the evidence, you'll probably need it. Another options is the police if your country is not too homophobic but the police may involve your parents.

I would recommend switching your apt sources to point to the unstable branch: sid.
Strongly disagree with this. Most users should use Debian stable, or if you needs new versions of specific software, then maybe testing or backports.
Unstable makes sense for Debian maintainers, and people who do QC and debug Debian. Unstable means you'll get bug and breakages much more frequently, which only makes sense if you're working on detecting bugs and fixing them before new packages arrive in testing/stable.
Using unstable without being an advanced Debian users is asking for trouble, because you risk more frequent breakages that requires manual intervention and in-depth Debian/Linux knowledge to fix thing. Even if there's only a breakage every 6-12 months, which doesn't seems much for veterans Linux users, it's too much for general users.
Picture the scene: You're swimming out to sea from a beach in Tuscany, and with your dive mask on you take a look below the surface, hoping to see some fish. Instead you see a gigantic marble fish house.
The first step is to prevent more plastic from reaching the sea in the first place.
