I came here for an argument, not a contradiction!
"He is second in the standings and delivers good races, which distinguishes him from Nyck de Vries
Ouch. Dude.
There is no answer.
This one was temporary. The one in Lemmy.ml is the official one.
I don’t know if there are any bots yet to enable automatic cross-posting, but that might be something we could look into.
Memmy’s great. I think mlem has a lot of potential as well. I think we can do some fun stuff with it if we stick with it. There are a lot of creative things we can do once we get the core functionality built out and functioning, and then fine-tuned a bit. Once that’s good, then comes the fun part, in my opinion. But I’m a designer, so that’s where my mind goes. The little fun animations and the way the app reacts to your interactions, that we’ll be able to incorporate.
Apollo was great, but there’s also a lot of potential to do our own things, having used and learned from Apollo, and now knowing how different the fediverse and Lemmy are from Reddit.
Same. I've already added Threads.net to my "Blocked Domains" list on Mastodon. Hoping to be able to do that with Lemmy as well.
Fart loudly.
That’s the question!
I guess the question is whether or not federation is automatic. If it’s manual, then every instance you want to interact with will have to federate with your instance.
Until the AI learns how to use that as well.
Are there actually players who are choosing it for that reason at all?
-
That we are living in a simulation.
-
That I am a terrible human being who is unworthy of love or respect.
-
That I am incompetent and it's only a matter of time before my employer finds out and fires me.
I'm stoked. I hope the worm riding is believable.
Same. I also watch tv while they're asleep and I have to keep the volume low.
How much is Tesla making off of these deals?
*edit: Yes, I get that the specs are downloadable and that it's an "open standard" but the articles are all saying that these automakers are "working with Tesla" and therefore Tesla is getting consulting fees.
Also, Tesla is going to be in the business of building/deploying all the charging stations, I guarantee you. So they're going to become the new Standard Oil.
Ok trying it out now… This is really coming along!
Man, they didn't have to do that. I could have taken care of that for them.
It's rare that a company focuses on long-term goals rather than quarterly earnings.
Question about how Lemmy deals with bans
Just for my general knowledge, when an instance bans a user, is that user just banned by the username they use? Or are they also banned by the email address they used as well? So if they tried to sign back up with the same email but a different username, they would get flagged/denied?
Also - when a community bans a user, is there like a "strike" system where like if they get banned from three communities, they get banned from the whole instance?
Hear me out... Tom Cruise as... Nightwing!
I could see an older Nightwing being played by Tom Cruise. Batman's dead, and Nightwing and the Bat Family are all that's left to keep Gotham in check... and... something happens. Etc. Etc. Etc... Anyway, I'm reading Future State: Gotham and these panels made me think of Tom Cruise.
500 Server Error?
Hi guys - I keep getting 500 Server Error. Is this because the server is getting overwhelmed? Too many new users?
