Those who live outside Europe. What are things Europeans are not ready to hear.
    1. Indigenous groups lived in places like Death Valley or the Australian outback for thousands of years, where the temperature gets above even the worst European heatwave temperatures daily for whole seasons.

    2. If you're concerned about climate change, you should realize how bad of an idea it is to run extremely energy intensive machines filled with environmently harmful refrigerants 24/7, which also contribute to increasing the ambient outdoor temperature and the heat island effect.

  • Anon's PC works
  • This is just proving the OPs point. I have a PC from around 2013 with a 970, and I can still play all the games I'm interested in just fine (BG3, AW2, etc). If you absolutely need 4k 120fps at ultra in order to have fun, that's on you.

  • Australia approves extradition of ex-US Marine for allegedly training Chinese pilots
  • He had begun teaching a few years before renouncing his citizenship, but the accusations only came several years after in 2017. And again, these accusations are against a South African flight school that trains civilian pilots. He's absolutely being made an example of because of anti-Chinese sentiment in the US.

  • Australia approves extradition of ex-US Marine for allegedly training Chinese pilots
  • I did just read the story on a different website, and it says he was indeed no longer a citizen when he helped with the training. He had apparently had filed everything to renounce his citizenship a few years before this all took place.

Additionally, the school he was teaching at was in South Africa, where some Chinese students were attending. It's not like he waltzed over the Beijing with classified materials.

The whole thing reads like a crocked up sinophobic nothing burger.

EDIT: Love that I'm being downvoted for pointing out basic facts in the story.

  • I hate cast iron so I am in favour of this.
  • I have no fear of cooking with it, I just want my cookware to be minimally fussy and not require special treatment. If the $10 Walmart skillet can be thrown in the dishwasher and the $100 cast iron one requires me to baby it or it'll rust, I'll go with the cheap skillet every day.

  • He was also incredibly racist and extremely homophobic even before his schizophrenia got bad. I don't want to play suffering Olympics here but you can suffer from mental health issues and still be an awful person.

  • 81 Democrats Voted To Pull Care From Service Member's Trans kids.
  • I mean yeah, the Democratic elite seem to have utter contempt for the party base and just ignore polling. Gaza is the perfect example of this. In the lead up to the election, it was abundantly clear that Kamala's "policy" (read: doing nothing) towards Gaza was tremendously unpopular with the party base. And they just... Ignored it. There are plenty of people who withheld from voting on that issue alone.

  • For the life of me, I can't understand how people think Russia is communist. Like, at least the PRC is nominally communist and describes itself as a communist state (even if it's not really doing communism).

But Russia? The USSR was dissolved decades ago. The Russian Federation never claimed to be communist. Are these people just stuck in the Cold War?

  • 62% of Americans agree US government should ensure everyone has health coverage
  • I'd say the reason the Democrats won't move left is because the party elite have a lot of donors they'd piss off by actually supporting serious leftist economic policy.

Maybe I'm wrong. Hell, I'd love to be wrong. But I've sort of lost hope that the democratic party is ever going to deliver.
