In my state if a Democrat doesn't run for a seat. Chances are a Republican is running uncontested. I leave large parts of the state ballot blank because Republicans run uncontested ON EVERY BALLOT. Even presidential years. And while I rarely vote FOR anyone. I always vote AGAINST Republicans. Well them and Rand loving economic liberals pretending to be libertarians. Which is basically the same thing.

It wouldn't even have to be something that radical. The fact is the problems with Israel and Palestine have more to do with Congress than they do with biden. If they decided to not run Biden they would most likely choose a congressman in a safe seat. Likely from a blue state. With large Jewish population and AIPAC funding. And now we're right back where we started. Well right back where we started at best. The candidate could be even more pro-israel than Biden is. And the party will end up weaker, with actual decent Democrats struggling even harder to accomplish something. As the unified fascist front votes for whoever they are given as candidate.

If Biden's age were actually an issue. They would be hitting Trump almost exactly as hard on his age. They are not. If Biden's stance on Palestine were the problem they would be hitting Trump harder on Palestine they are not. The truth is while presidents or individuals. They are ultimately the sum of their administration.

While Biden was one of my least favorite Democrats in 2020. He's far outpaced my expectations for him. And the fact that a number in his administration have resigned in protest. Gives me hope and confidence enough to go forward. Because I know there are others still there who feel the same.

It's accelerationist. You and I can openly talk about America's failures and discuss the disasters objectively. The fascists at the levers of power that run roughshod over the United States government for the last century. Precisely because we actually want to improve things and to help people.

Accelerationist don't. Or at least they think they do in a warped and twisted way where the only way to do it. Is to destroy the west, to destroy its governments, to injure the people. And then only once everything has collapsed can they build them back up into a system. Which objectively has been shown to be no better than the system they currently have. But in their eyes would magically somehow be better.

It's manic, cultish Behavior. As an actual leftist in a red State I definitely don't see that type around here. But I'm sure in more liberal areas they exist. Really though more than anything it's just a demonstration that even those of us on the left are acutely vulnerable to propaganda and radicalization as well as being indoctrinated into cults.

Part of it is propaganda. And not just western propaganda. The way Marxist Leninism aped the communist aesthetic while being specifically NOT COMMUNISM. Heavily tarnished the image of communism outright. It's social oppression and wildly anti democratic nature is a big turn off to most people.

That gave ample ammunition to western actors. Handing them a ready made narrative to build on to smear communism. ML will shout about how the west is oppressive and often anti democratic. And they aren't wrong. But that doesn't excuse the actions of ML governments. And really doesn't speak well of their own ideology. If we want to get rid of oppressive anti democratic governments. Why would we want to switch to a different oppressive anti democratic government. It doesn't really fix the problem. It's a lateral transition. Not a transition up.

Pragmatically I trend Dejacque Libertarian and anarco communist. To get others to understand you have to decouple parasites like ML first. And that's only to get started. Then you have to run them through a lot of heavily simplified poly-sci. Pretty much reprogramming a number of purposeful misconceptions drilled into people. Which, if they aren't interested in the first place. Is pointless.

Best case is to avoid using a lot of the propagandized terms. Explaining the concepts through basic concepts.

History, procedure, common sense, and logic all said that was what was going to happen. They didn't cancel the primaries. They never started the primaries. A lot of states started holding primaries assuming the incumbent wasn't running again. But that was never the case. Biden never said that he was only going to run the one time and not again. People in his orbit discussed that he might do that. But that was nothing that he said or that they ever committed to.

You and I are welcome to believe this what he should have done. But historically if an incumbent decides to run for another Term. No party ever Has primaried them. We can criticize Biden on not telegraphing that well enough. That's fair. We can absolutely criticized Biden on things like that. But policy-wise and as far as his administration goes. He's been fairly popular and consequential. Despite the one really big issue which seems to be all people want to talk about ignoring the fascist in the room.

If all debates for like that one. I would not miss a single debate. He cut through the b******* and got straight to the answers or not answers as the case may be. Which is what a debate moderator should do. A debate moderator is not intended to be a personified a cue card. The Talking Heads at CNN failed even harder than I ever thought they could with their moderation.

From the founding of the ideology through at least the first 100 years it kind of did. I think the basic fact that the man who coined the phrase and founded the ideology. Fought against the kind of people who pretend to be libertarian today. He literally participated in the French revolution. And we have economic liberals today making up thought terminating cliches and tripe like the non-aggression principle to protect wealthy thieves. Calling themselves right wing Libertarians it's a joke.

Absolutely. Though to be fair most people who call themselves Libertarians aren't regardless.

I've never been allusioned with Biden. There was only one Democrat I liked less than him in the 2019 primaries. It was quite a surprise that he far exceeded my low expectations. But he did. Still we are talking fascists, literal fascist. Who've already attempted to overthrow the government once. With a literal fucking plan on how to end democracy when they regain power. How are we so focused on the runner-up in a shitty person contest? There is a reason. And no, you will not acknowledge it.

Knowing that, you should know that there aren't enough hours in the day to eloquently frame and debate the benefits of Biden. To people who most likely aren't even listening. At a base level, Trump WILL be worse on all issues. It's a fact. And if Biden doesn't win. Trump WILL. Also a fact.

It's not a great argument. But it's the only argument necessary. The fact that you act wounded or surprised by this seems very disingenuous. Why are others obliged to spend their time explaining public knowledge to you? Not to knock those that do just that. It is important after all. But where's the entitlement coming from.

Wrong as always. There's always consequences. Whether or not you and I think they are worth it. Doesn't matter. Someone else will make that calculation for themselves.

For better or for worse, a lot of donors and fundraisers would abandon him. And if you think them abandoning long time substantial supporters. To chase fickle ideologues is a winning strategy that they should focus on. You're crazier than advertised. There's a very good reason they don't generally Court the votes of leftists like us. A huge portion of us don't know what solidarity, or strategy is. And will abandon them distracted at the first opportunity. We can at best make up a winning margin in some circumstances. But are not enough for them count on to win regularly. And yet. Many of us still act childishly entitled. Further cementing them not supporting us.

Also not that it should need pointing out. But when Biden was presumptuous enough to even delay the shipment of weapons recently. Both Republicans and Netanyahu together attacked him and act like he done something horrific. Many Democrats support wavering as well as there are far too many zionists among them. Now counting the man who primaried Jamal Bowman.

Biden couldn't veto anything related to Israel if he wanted to. All Republicans and enough Democrats would vote to override it instantly. Because Congress is the problem. But sure, continue to waste effort and be counterproductive.

Yes we absolutely need plenty of immigration. The American population has been below replacement on birth rates since the 1970s. With the Boomers going down it's going to hit the fan real soon but all they want to do is restrict immigrants.
