Season 1 of Powerrr was awesome!
Ricky Starks, Eddie Kingston, Thunder Rosa, Eli Drake... it's honestly shocking how many talents bloomed out of the manure that Powerrr never cultivated anything in.
I wonder where they'll land next month... streaming on Rumble maybe? I'm not sure if that'd be better or worse.
I don't see a timer at the bottom of their website - instead I see this line of text:
https://blackmesa.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/SampleinGC.png DAMN! You guys are quick... Didn't even have time to put the right image up yet.
That SampleinGC.png image is accessible, and is a picture of a vial in a testing chamber of some sort. The image also has metadata attached; a description that is a string of morse code:

YOU REALIZE WE ARE JUST MAKING THESE BECAUSE YOU SEEM TO LIKE THEM AND HAVE FUN WE DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE VIDEO GAME THIS IS NOT AN ARG
It also means I'm usually watching everything the day after, because I'm not staying up to 5am for PPVs. Mind you, I'm still probably staying up to watch some other rubbish instead.
Just followed you from my mastodon account, I don't bother posting there much, use it more like a news feed than a social media @[email protected]
I believe there's an official federated (if you're not completely anti-meta) AEW account here: @[email protected]
Not sure if it makes more or less posts than the official bird site one you've got a mirror of there - I don't go to that area of the internet any more.
I'm pro-"toots". Most people's comments are glitter-fart worthy at best within 140 characters π
This is where Regal shows up and explains that calendars are different in kayfabe, I guess.
34th Annual PWI 500: Cody Rhodes is #1
Top 10:
- Cody Rhodes (WWE)

- Seth Rollins (WWE)
- Tetsuya Naito (NJPW)
- Damien Priest (WWE)
- MJF (AEW)
- Jon Moxley (AEW)

- Mistico (CMLL)
Reminder: The PWI is ranked from July 2023 to July 2024
What day of the week do you think it'll land on?
Maybe it's just RoH getting a sneaky televised Thursday slot, instead of HonorClub?
Yeah, it kinda suits all three promotions to just take the big bag of cash, doesn't it?
WWE has always wanted a solid presence in Japan, and TNA would probably just be fun for them to burn to the ground, because they could already have their pick of anyone on that roster if they wanted.
Four tiers of developmental sounds like a very WWE thing to do, too. (OVW > TNA > NXT > WWE)
So could that mean TNA, NOAH and Marigold possibly agreed to deals with a similar caveat attached?
Thanks for going above and beyond, as usual!
Is the audio borked on this, or is it just me?
KK is really going for a solid "how shite can I become?" speedrun attempt.
I'd be totally on board if they did something like Lucha Underground did and had live bands perform as intermission, or if BABYMETAL were going to do a special entrance theme for someone.
I think it sucks mainly because they're hyping up the fact they'll be playing a BABYMETAL mp3 during PPV promo spots, like its going to make a huge difference to the event or something lmao
"official PPV theme song" is such a nonsense corporate idea.
PCPartPicker can filter for card length (in millimeters as opposed to inches, but still) and that should help with narrowing down your choices. Most GPUs have some variant that's shorter in length, but they might just charge a bit of a premium for it.
"present"
- not "future"
- usually a gift of some sort
- announcements could be gifts
- Lucha Bros are WWE-bound
- announcements could be gifts
I look forward to the dirtsheets confirming his days in AEW are now officially numbered.
So you're telling me Mortos is actually Man-Wolf from Dragonball?
The other side of the coin is that the Lucha Bros have a lot of side-hustles on the go that I don't think WWE would let them keep. Penta does a lot of Mexican indie shows, and they run their own "Republic of Lucha" merch store too. They'll have to weight up the value of their all their outside gigs (and a potential AEW offer) against the WWE offer.
I'm glad I got to see Penta do his thing in Lucha Underground, and the Lucha Bros AEW tag run was decent. As long as they're happily getting that money, it's all good, regardless where they end up.
What I feel would be acceptable:
If you're proud of your Framework laptop and want to brag about it, we'll give you some swag for free that you can show off with when you're out and about!
What this looked like to me:
If you're attending a conference we'd be paid to attend, but can't go to, will you show off your Framework laptop to attendees in an effort to convince them to buy one from us too, and we'll send you some stickers?
The issue isn't even what they're asking for, but how their asking it.

Catching up with NJPW
I'm always around a month+ behind with NJPW content, because they just release too much to keep up!
I've finally reached the Best of Super Jr. 30 (I'm on May 16/Day 4 right now) but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me which matches are worth watching and which are perfectly skippable on my todo list, because I'm aiming to be up to date for Forbidden Door II and I know I've a lot to get through in the next week!
I know I could probably just skip to the Finals Night of BOSJ, but what can I say, I'm a bit of a completionist.
Events I still have to watch:
- May 17: Best Of The Super Jr. 30 - Day 5
- May 18: Best Of The Super Jr. 30 - Day 6
- May 19: Best Of The Super Jr. 30 - Day 7
- May 21: Best Of The Super Jr. 30 - Day 8

- May 23: Best Of The Super Jr. 30 - Day 9
- May 24: Best Of The Super Jr. 30 - Day 10

- Jun 04: Dominion

- Jun 10: New Japan Road - Road To Strong
