What is your favorite ever DOS game?
  • Wow I see! He exclusively plays the underwater one, and I'll totally check out the newer ones, thanks for the advice :D

  • Anyone else still not understand how this works?
  • I'm in the same boat as you, just tryna figure everything out, but I'm pretty sure android exists here, if you press on the menu button next to your username and select "Magazines" in the drop down you can search for specific ones. I wonder if tagging it would work: @android

Edit: hmm it looks like it linked the user instead, not sure how to make it link to the magazine... wait nevermind it works now? I really don't get this U.U

  • Did the reddit hivemind do a 180 or are the people left behind just the people who don't care.
  • Quite disappointing isn't it, I kinda wish that in preparation for the blackout an alternative forum was opened for popular subs (on the federation for example) so the community had somewhere to go instead of being annoyed at the lack of interaction

  • What is your favorite ever DOS game?
  • This is really interesting actually, because I was introduced to UFO/the underwater one by my dad, and he told me the opposite, that the newer games don't have the feel of the original. Should I give them a shot?

  • What is a useful tip a new lemmy/kbin users should know?
  • Wait so when I boost a comment it appears on my feed or something? I am a bit confused

  • Is Lemmy Indexable?
  • Yeah, this is actually a big worry to me, on Reddit especially because I think it would be easy (if not easier) to find out info about me by the subreddits I was active in

  • Best way to get over learning curve?

I've been trying out blender, following along with the donut tutorial, but it feels like I am just copying and not learning much. I often get sidetracked and try to make something a bit different to the tutorial but its just so difficult and never works..

For example, I wanted to create a donut, but with no middle (like the donuts with filling inside). I spent so long trying to make the initial mesh and when I got something that looked correct, viewing it with textures showed a completely broken, and stretched out in places image.

Any ideas for getting over this learning curve? Is it just watching YouTube tutorials and following along until I randomly discover new info to use in other projects?

Enshittification: An explanation for why Reddit (and basically all corporate social media) is getting worse
  • Yeah definitely so, and weren't there some statistics regarding the amount of people using 3rd party apps, and that being relatively low? Correct me if I am wrong
