Giving the admin the benefit of the doubt for now, but if you don't get banned, then that finalizes my decision to swap instances. Like OP said, being soft on fascists is just being a cryptofascist.

Despite their claims, the evidence clearly shows they are a fascist instance. And fascists must NEVER be tolerated unless you want to become The Nazi Bar yourself. With enough "nay" votes, this could already be true.
Failure to uphold the most basic community safety will force me to move instances, and I'm sure many others will do the same, so then you will quickly see my point.
If the choice is between:
The internet is nothing but hallucinated bot content, or
You have to flash government ID every time you post, and anonymity is impossible,
Then both means the internet is dead.
An instance is not federated with another until the first link is initiated manually. After that, they can talk to each other.
This is why if you are browsing a curated list of instances/communities on some website, and then go to search for them on your current instance, sometimes they don't show up, and you have to paste the full link in the search bar and wait for it to "find" it. You are initiating its federation.
So, no, this is not all instances. Some are still yet to be discovered by yours.
This "unlinked" state is different from being blocked, because a blocked instance is actively forbidden from being federated with your server. It can't talk to you even if it wants to, and you can't talk to them either. A total disconnect.
If you make your own instance you'll probably have to manually connect to some others to start with. Following people helps, because it adds any servers that they follow too.
No, in fact I have studied it well. It is within the established parameters, if you care to look them up. I am indeed acutely aware of the totalitarianism that is creeping further and further each day in my country.
Fascism must be ruthlessly stomped out and nipped in the bud before it can spread. It is too late in the outside world, but not here, in these small online communities.

The "paradox" of tolerance is not some contradictory slippery slope. It is a fact of communities and must always be upheld. I hope our admin makes the correct choice.
I could be wrong but I think it's not retroactive? Like once you federate it only shows newly created posts, not their old ones.
