So how are you all liking it so far?
  • Yeah, I feel exactly the same. I am hoping there is much more content and map once the game releases. They do intend to do events from what I understand but have no idea what else is in store.

  • So how are you all liking it so far?
  • I think the biggest criticism is the pricing, not the existence of the cash shop. It is using the Apple model versus the Walmart model of pricing targeting the whales which is probably more profitable. Like you said, it does not impede gameplay at all though it is always somewhat concerning to see such an emphasis on a cash shop for a product that is still in beta. I will continue to play and see how it goes.

  • So how are you all liking it so far?
  • Yeah, I saw the frustration on the Internet towards the pets which kind of highlighted the cosmetics shop in general. There does not seem to be enough cheap options. Also it puts me in a weird place. I have no issues throwing money at a game I enjoy but I also do not generally care about cosmetics so I certainly do not like paying10-20USD for an outfit even though I would be happy to pay a 10-15USD subscription.

In any case, I am still enjoying the game and am looking forward to new content.

I have played they game for about a dozen hours now and it seems like a game to chill in for an hour or so here or there but maybe not one to hold my attention like BG3 or something. How about everyone else in the beta? Love it, hate it, meh?

People who back into parking spots: Why?
  • When you’re leaving a parking spot and backing out all the same logic applies that these bozos use to justify backing in

I agree that attacking someone for their opinion is just silly but I honestly do not agree with this statement. People, and more importantly pedestrians, know what you are doing when you are backing into a spot and are therefore less likely to walk behind you. This is not the case when backing out of a spot. They might not even know someone is in the vehicle. Add in little kids running out of nowhere. You have a lot better situational awareness while backing in versus backing out since your field of view is not obstructed by up to three sides by cars. I do not think the difference is catastrophic by any means but, to me at least, there is a difference.

  • AITA for asking a LLM to do things that are supposed to be my job?
  • NTA, you are just using the tools available to you to excel at your job. I am sure you have heard the saying by now "You will may not be replaced by AI but you will be replaced by someone who uses AI".

Soon, anti AI people will be seen similarly to those who refuse to use computers.

  • Is Meta coming to Fediverse?
  • I think it is a fine line to be honest. You want enough users to have content and collaboration but not so much that it draws the corps in which is what basically happened to the web. Sure tons of web sites exist but a bulk of the traffic only go to a few of them.

  • Why are there so many stop signs on American streets?
  • Would have to deal with the four property owners on each quadrant of the intersection. Any one of them can stall the effort. This goes even worse in cities where buildings are likely close to the intersection. And yes, they should have built everything with roundabouts in mind in the first place. We focused on cars when we built everything but made poor choices which hinder future changes.

So that along with all the other red tape need to go through like environmental studies and such make each update to a roundabout somewhat daunting.
