We know that already, though, about Trump. We have known for years, and people either will or will not vote for Trump - their mind is already made up on kt. The Biden debate performance is a big deal because now we know Biden is not fit for the Presidency any more either, not because he did a bad job at it but simply because he is too old to go on. So now we need to talk about it and process it.
They sure do post a lot on Lemmy for being a stay at home parent supervising their kid... 1670+ posts, 34500+ comments in 12 months. That's about 4 posts and 95 comments per day.
Really? That's your go-to glib answer? No discussion about education opportunities or job prospects? No question about why the downturn was really noted in 2014? Just immediately jumping to the conclusion that rural people MUST be hateful?

Looking at Lemmy posts right now, it seems like many servers were affected - I see a lot of beehaw posts and not a lot else at the moment. I'm curious how big of an impact this was.
Report harassing comments. Mods remove harassing comments. Each user can block individuals who are trolls - if they don't get engagements (positive or negative), their comments won't float up the feed and they won't be encouraged to continue being a dick. Validate women's experiences even if it isn't your own personal experience. Realize that when you are engaging with women about their personal experiences, it's not the same as arguing over a topic in tech.
We just lurk and look at memes and then go socialize elsewhere. It's not worth the emotional energy to engage with so many males on this platform.
I used to participate in Lemmy after I left Reddit, but migrated to another place. This is one of the rare times I am actually choosing to comment on Lemmy.

Lemmy is moderated by several power mods just as Reddit was, and they are male. There is no proper space for women on Lemmy.
