West has finally picked up on anime's popularity. It's only going to accelerate from here. Whether or not we will be blessed with quality or barf puddles...time will tell.
Personally, I don't mind. But maybe if it accelerates too much to a point in the future where anime doesn't feel distinctly Japanese anymore, or like it's trying too hard to cater to a western audience it could be a bad thing.
I don't follow manga that closely but obviously anything called "Turns Out My Dick Was a Cute Girl" sounds like peak fiction. I started reading this a few minutes ago. Everything here is gold, full of worthy anime_irl moments.
I don't really want to poop on this anime but it is so ugly. Character designs, derpy animation, color palette looks like blandness. Also I think I'm past enjoying R&M altogether. It was so much fun when it first came out, it just was the right cartoon at the right time. Now everything about it feels just...done. I'm gonna watch next week's episode to see if it's any better though I am not really excited for it like I was for the first.
