Flatulent Cows And Pigs Will Now Be Taxed In Denmark
  • Having just read it, it comes down to a CO2 tax on animals in general and not just cows and pigs.

"En CO2-afgift på udledninger fra husdyr. Der indføres en afgift på 300 kroner per ton CO2 i 2030 stigende til 750 kroner per ton CO2 i 2035 med et bundfradrag på 60 procent. Den effektive afgift vil dermed udgøre 120 kroner per ton i 2030 stigende til 300 kroner per ton i 2035."

Posted the actual Danish text in case someone wants to translate into their own native languages in case of specifics. I'm surprised the agricultural workers agreed to this.

  • Greek coastguard threw migrants overboard to their deaths, witnesses say
  • While I agree with your statement, there is also a difference in how awful we are, between allowing capsized vessels to just take their course and if we deliberately throw migrants overboard, as this post says is happening in Greece.

  • Energy efficiency of active travel (walking, cycling, ebike) compared to an electric car
  • Seeing the sights, feeling refreshed and invigorated

Seeing the sights gets boring when you've done it more than a handful of times. And I'm not sure why, but I don't feel refreshed when I've been out on a bike ride due to the winds. They aren't strong, but they don't need to be when going 18/25.

    having a sense of accomplishment

This argument is one I strongly despise cause arbitrary difficulty does not/should not give a sense of accomplishment. Take the bus instead and you'll have that same sense of accomplishment but waste only half the time. Or walk and spend twice the time and get it too.

  • More than half the world? We talking population or countries?

Seems like an awful lot, but I have no idea about vaccines in other countries. Also do you only need 1 vaccine against measles once in your life or does it require a 2nd one later in life?

  • Since I agree with you, I'm interested in your opinion of where a potential cut-off point would be. Say X% of people between the ages 18 and 25 get into a car crash yearly, when is it okay to assume that because you are between 18 and 25 you shouldn't be allowed to drive? Is it when X = 75, lower/higher or is there never a point for you and you'd still prefer to judge an individual?
