Ascendance of a Bookworm: Part 5 Volume 7 Part 3
  • So this is it, Rozemyne gets her own copy of the BIG BIG BOOK, and it's incomplete. Oh, but don't worry, Ferdinand has the rest of it. Also she now looks her age, thank Anwachs. Also we get an explanation for a lot of things regarding Rozemyne's mana signature, in that she has the same exact one as Ferdinand and also got the same names of the king and queen gods as he did.

  • Reading the P5V5 one, I suddenly feel much worse for Dietlinde's retainers. I had though they had simply neglected to restrain their lady duing her meeting with Magdalena, but they were in fact unable to be there.

  • Damuel x Philine is making progress! Konrad and Dirk have a heartwarming friendship going on here, and it it mildly amusing to see that there positions in the hierarchy have effectively swapped. Finally, Hartmut has revealed how much he knows about Rozemyne's backstory, to the suprise of absolutely everyone present. In fact, Benno seemed to take it the best out of all of them. Also Benno's excitement upon hearing about the merchant priest hopeful is encouraging to see.

  • The end of the pre-pub was so heartwarming, Elvira sharing her emotions with her adopted daughter so freely when no one else could, and assuring Rozemyne that she wasn't alone. Also yes, Hartmut and Clarissa continue to be completely batshit in their devotion to Rozemyne.

  • I keep finding reasons to like Anastasius, what with how well he understands Rozemyne's wants and needs. Traurqual seems to have a proper level of respect for the true Zent, which makes me wonder why there is such a large divide between him and the temple. Also I really want him to talk to Rozemyne and see the extent of her book gremlin ways. It was interesting to see that Dietlinde's retainers were actually trying to restrain her from sending the ordonanz, I didn't think they had it in them. And then for the epilogue, dear lord I didn't think Magdalena was that out of touch with Ferdinand's situation. Also seeing Hildebrand's perspective makes me laugh at just how screwed he is if he keeps with his current trajectory. And seeing as nobody seems to be trying to guide him away from it, I can't imagine he'll change his goals.
