... you're the one that invented the "chaser" angle though, speculation you "felt" was true with no real basis for that. The commentor was genuinely not being transphobic, nor did they "group" post op and pre op as "the same". Those two groups of people made it onto their list of "people I could be attracted to" when they were directly asked if those two groups were physically attractive to them. Please stop inventing drama, that commentor doesn't deserve to be witch hunted across unrelated threads.
Fuck transphobes tho. Trans rights are human rights.
Yes, the old testament has some ethically bad things in it, all Abrahamic religions share that. I'm also atheist. I just don't make a point of commenting "fictional character" on a meme that happens to use the word "god", not even capitalized lmao. Perhaps you aren't aware of how much of a militant atheist you come off as. Out of curiosity, have you ever put the bible in the fiction section?
I would never read an innocuous meme comment condemning slavery and think "ah yes, time to make a point about religion being fake and bad".
Oh I'm quite aware, all Abrahamic religions have the same base of messed up morality. I'm not religious. I just find the sort of militant atheist that would make a point of "fiction" annoying.
you don't need to evangelize your lack of a religion to me. Evangelicals are so annoying.
it's a meme you dip
I just grow what I can myself, or buy straight from local farmers where possible, but my access to farmers and farmers markets is a bit limited.
Sigh.
Every day we stray further from gods light
Idk about you but I paid $2 for a single white onion the other day at Safeway. At this point even home cooking is $$$, it's insane. My farmer friends aren't exactly making more from their crops either.
they'll what now?
There's an NCD over on sh.itjust.works I think
Presently outside inspecting my garden and wondering when I moved to death valley.
What Wikipedia fails to mention is the true reason for why Italy stopped following "passar battaglia". Many scholars believed it was due to international pressure to follow the more common "en passant" when in fact it was largely due to more efficient production and subsequent adoption of bricks in Italy, thereby enabling games involving "passar battaglia" to conclude with a bricked pipi. Previously, the dearth of bricks allowed "passar battaglia" to occur without bricking the players pipi.
As Italians didn't like having their pipis bricked, they adopted "en passant" and dropped "passar battaglia".
Oh interesting! I'll give it a Google. Thanks for the suggestion!
Canada Day Plans?
What's everyone doing this Canada Day? Now that fireworks are racist and the record stores on Osborne can't afford to be forced to over hire staff again this year (jokes), I'm not sure what to do.
I don't want to drive out to Assiniboia Downs for the fireworks because I'd like to have a few drinks... any other events anyone knows of, preferably downtown area?
At least where I live the induction coils frequently won't pick up my motorcycle, let alone my bicycle!
I don't have a guide for this, but assuming you're on raspbian you can make a new network namespace, create your VPN device within the network namespace and then run your process within that namespace. That's going to require getting your hands dirty though.
Why not just use docker or podman? It's much easier to do this with that. docker run -d --name vpn gluetun
and docker run -d --network container:vpn myimage
and you're done, because OCI containers have their own network namespace by default.
To be fair, until we popularize bicycle trailers I feel like Costco isn't exactly a bicycle destination. Still, I'm glad bicycle spots are getting normalized!
Yea I'm familiar with the "traditional" use of liberal/conservative, which is why I called out neolibs specifically. I just assume anyone using "libs" is probably more on the "own the libs" side of the dunning Kruger curve. /shrug
Neolibs, sure, but I don't associate the typical lefty with "corporate rights" lol. Meanwhile most righties I know want the deregulation of most industries in the name of "personal liberties", but all it does is allow corporations to do whatever they want. Neolibs love unregulated markets though.
You fundamentally do not understand that I do not feel like I am being treated like a baby. I have zero interest in seeing tankie shit from lemmygrad. I signed up onto an instance that defederated from lemmygrad. The mods did not make an announcement, but the deferedation was publicly visible from logs. I am not bothered by this.
You're free to ask "why were the users not consulted or informed?" but you must also accept that "because we didn't want to" is a complete answer. If you don't like the answer given, then move on. The operators are not a corporation, you are not entitled to any specific level of service. Why you choose to get hostile when someone explains this to you is beyond me.
Best of luck in your lemmy adventure.
