Stubsack: weekly thread for sneers not worth an entire post, week ending Sunday 6 October 2025
  • Yeah, I can at least understand why people would ask a chatbot about bits of codes, but feeding it an entire codebase in one go and expecting something coherent out of it is mind boggling. Awful awful.

  • i'd tend to agree if we were talking about something that is actually interesting instead of an incredibly generic piece of kitsch art.

  • art is a process not a thing on a screen. get rid of the tension between idea and realisation and you get rid of most of what is interesting about art. (besides i'm sorry for your mind if your imagination is adequately represented by the output of stock image generators.)

  • Appropriately for this sort of meaningless bilge, the name is also bullshit. The way to say "space opera" in French is "space opera".

  • I read that as "vitality cure" and didn't think twice about it, seemed the appropriate level of evil.

  • That might actually be the most infuriatingly US-centric post I've ever read, and that's really saying something! God!!!!

And it's talking about "The World" in the title of course!
