He/ him. Cis male. Likes monster taming, turn-based RPG and simulation video games. Also into tabletop RPGs and game design (Godot, RPG Maker). If you want to trade steam keys.
I was playing Cassette Beasts the past few days and I found that Animon Story's TTRPG system could probably be easily modded to Cassette Beasts' setting.

Some scattered thoughts on my end:
EFF and the people that support them will tell women, racial minorities, disabled, queer etc. to not do anything about their harasser in the name of holding up net neutrality. They will tell marginalised folk that 'corporations are not on your side' as if they are too stupid to realise it on their own. If you ask them what they should do instead to protect themselves they will just say it is not their job to stop harassment. If not they will tell you to report to the police (lol). Reason is that they don't see marginalised folk as people with a stake in this that you should negotiate or listen to and they don't see their current defense infrastructure as real, they see them as a pawn they might need to sacrifise in the long game they are playing. Innuendo Studios covers this mindset in his 'Cost of Doing Business' video. Text version for the hearing-impaired. Use this Tampermonkey script to remove the login popup.
Imagine a white women that is currently being abused by her husband. She calls the cops and said cops manage to handle the situation well despite the current problems. Now imagine a bunch of not-so-wise people telling the abused women in question that her method of getting herself out makes her pro-police brutality/ pro-prison industrial complex/ a racist bitch. That is the type of justice/ progress rules absolutists like EFF over here operate on.
EFF apologists also disingenuously mix the approval of individual actions with approval of the system. In this case 'individual corporation refusing to serve kiwifarms' to 'corporations in general can control what is written'.
Some people in that comment thread say the banning is pointless because they can just create their own instance on Tor. However Tor is even less accessible than the mainstream internet so their libel and slander reaches less ears. Isn't it still a victory of sorts?
EFF claims that Hurricane Electric cutting of cyberstalking websites is bad
Content warning: EFF, kiwifarms, death, harassment :boost_requested:

The URL links to a mastodon thread criticising the EFF article, not the article itself.
Also Beehaw's technology chat is awful.
You know how one of the common symptoms of fascism is that they will describe their enemies as both weak and strong.
You know how one of the common symptoms of fascism is that they will describe their enemies as both weak and strong. What would you call someone that describes themselves as both weak and strong?
For example "vote for me and I can definitely protect reproductive rights but actually bureaucracy prevents me from stopping the people trying to knock down reproductive rights."

Monster-catching, dungeon-crawling RPG with a ridiculous amount of depth.
Monster-catching, dungeon-crawling RPG that takes inspiration from Dragon Quest Monsters.
It's a circlejerk now isn't it? Not just because it is filled with nazis but if you are not logged in you can't search, you can't see full threads and you can't view tweets in date posted order. People with no twitter account cannot interact with it in full so unless you want to market to nazis what reason is there to continue operations there?
I feel a lot of the 'separating the art from artist', and by extension anyone claiming to be fighting 'cancel culture', is ignoring that the people trying to distance themselves from terrible creators and figures are not the ones behind their society's own broken justice systems. Like blaming a victim of a crime for reporting the criminal and getting them jailed or fired and not their own government for the country's terrible prison conditions or poor unemployment safety nets.
I read that in 2012 a bunch of authors (names included Anne Rice, Kiera Cass and Carroll Bryant) made this website called Stop the Goodreads Bullies, a harassment site disguised as an anti-bullying campaign. Goodreads failure to protect its users/ bowing down to them by changing its policy to say that reviews about author's behaviour was off-topic caused people to migrate to booklikes. Were you part of that migration?
Sorry for being late. Aside from the obvious/ Hanako Games titles Royal Alchemist is an otome visual novel where you play as a tutor for three princes after the king gets assassinated. You have to raise both the princes' stats as well as your own.
The whole premise of the series made the two of them caretakers of a baby girl under one roof. It is very gay.
Thinking of maybe getting some hard-copy light novels/ manga. Following are on my wishlist:
Thinking of maybe getting some hard-copy light novels/ manga. Following are on my wishlist:
- The Executioner and Her Way of Life
- Otherside Picnic
- Magical Revolution
- Roll Over and Die
- Sexiled
- I'm in Love with the Villainess
Two questions:
- For each of them what are the main differences between their light novel and manga adaptations and which one would be better?
- If hypothetically I can only get two or three series, which ones should I get?
- Ironsworn: You'd think this wouldn't be on the list considering that it's free and solo but I can't seem to motivate myself to start a campagin
- Fabula Ultima: Bought it cuz the aesthetics appealed to me. Was not able to start anything after reading though.
- Pathfinder 2e
And also a lot of other stuff from previous itch.io queer/ charity bundles:
- Michtim
- Parselings
- Gubat Banwa
- Armor Astir
You get the feeling that the 'we have to choose between two shitty answers' problem mentioned is because the chatbots being trained are trying to be everything at once?
Hirogaru Sky Pretty Cure Episode 21 Discussion
Starting a discussion thread as I think it should be a good way to encourage conversation here. This episode had the cures go to a farm grown by Yoyo. This is also a Tsubasa focused episode where he reflects on what his goal should be next now that he achieved his goal of flying as Cure Wing.
