I can not recommend the framework laptop enough. Love their mission of producing a reparable and user-friendly laptop. You can even buy it without windows, to install your own OS from the get go.
Okay, I uninstalled the gnome portal, which meant I had to uninstall gnome-shell, which lead to GMD crashing (that I was apparently using lol), which was scary at first, but I was able to start Hyperland from a TTY without issue, and don't receive an error anymore, thanks!
I've replied this to a different comment as well, but wouldn't this mean I couldn't switch back? Because currently I can just select my DE in a dropdown on the login screen.
Thanks! So I have to uninstall the portals of all the other DEs I have installed? Because currently, I have a handy dandy DE selector on my login screen. I mean, I didn't really intend to set it up like this, but it's nice to have :)
Hyperland error: "you have one or more incomparable xdg-desktop-portal-impls"
So I've recently made the move and switched from DEs like GNOME or KDE to hyprland. It seems to work great, but every time I initially launch it, I see the error / warning: you have one or more incomparable xdg-desktop-portal-impls installed please remove incomparable ones to avoid issues.
I've looked online a bunch, but I've only found posts offering solutions specifically for arch linux, and I am on Fedora.
I understand that I have some duplicate implementations of portals (?), but I don't feel comfortable to just yoink random packages. Obviously, I would be happy if I get the solution for fedora, but optimally I would like a solution, that would let me figure out the redundant / incompatible package myself next time, not matter the distribution.
I hope it's okay to ask questions like this here :)

While true, that the pins are sort of correct when rotated 90° counter-clockwise, they wouldn't line up with the pads on the PCB anymore... sorry if I'm being a bit dumb, but I don't see how this is going to work.
I might very well be wrong here, since I'm not used to looking at these datasheets at all, but https://datasheet.lcsc.com/lcsc/2304171800_OPSCO-Optoelectronics-SK6812mini_C2886570.pdf specifies, that (bottom view) top left would need to be VDD and bottom right GND. Which I don't think the SK6812MINI-E satisfies (I'm assuming I also need to look at the bottom view).
Better LEDs for self built keyboard
I've tried to build a corne chocolate, but I've been facing some issues with the LEDs that they're using. For some reason, they have chosen to use "normal" surface mount LEDs (SK6812MINI) instead of reverse mounting ones with legs (e.g. SK6812MINI-E), and suggest bridging them with solder. See this before and after soldering from the original guide.
So I'm wondering if any of you know about some reverse mount LEDs, that would work on this board. Note that like 6 of them are mounted facing the other way, for "underglow". I'm not really interested in that, but the data lines aren't separate for the backlight and the underglow, so I'd have to bridge with a wire, which is meh.
I know I could modify the PCB design, but I don't feel too confident it will work after me doing so.
I'm open to suggestions :)
