Thanks for the tips, I'll give them a try!
Looking For Advice on the Edit
Hey all, found this one digging through some old photos and liked it a lot more than when I initially took it, I think it really does a good job of conveying the frantic energy of the metro. Not sure what direction I want to take it in the edit though, so I thought I'd ask for some advice!
If you're in Edinburgh you can go to Mox in the Hole. Commander is the leading format by a large margin nowadays, so the best place to start is either going to be a precon commander deck or picking out a favorite commander of yours to build around.
I'll give this a try, i think the crop is definitely a good idea!
Here's an updated edit:

Thanks for the response, I'm definitely going to print this one at some point. For now I'll make it a tad bit brighter :)
Enjoying a Cigarette in the Late Afternoon
Took this picture in one of the banlieues of Lyon a couple years ago, came across it while digging through hard drives.
Appreciate the feedback :)
I really enjoy that picture, the soft colors make it very easy for my eye to travel around the photo.
Taken at f/5.0, 11mm, iso 400 for 128 seconds
How Dark is Too Dark
Hey all, I'm going back and forth on this one so I thought I'd ask for some feedback. I really like the moody atmosphere of this pic, but I'm worried that it's just too dark on most viewing devices except for a nice monitor or a good print. I can brighten the image, but there isn't much of visual interest in the darker areas, so I'm worried that it will be too boring of I do so. Thoughts?
Thanks for the feedback, I think I have some ideas for fixing that problem next time, but will mess around in Lightroom for the meantime.
Looking for feedback on this astro shot
Hey all, looking for feedback on the edit here. Obviously lots of noise, not too much can do about that, but is the farm visible enough? Is there anything can do to make it pop more? Any and all feedback is appreciated!
Thanks for the critique, I really appreciate it! I'm still happy with this picture, but I think I'll have to realign how I view it, as I definitely dont feel like I achieved what I set out to do when I snapped it.
Thanks for the compliment, I'll have to try and make it back to this spot a little earlier next time.
Do you think cropping in on one of the groups of people would help with visual interest? If so, what apsect ratio should I try? I tend not to like the look of square crops, but I think it could be worth a try here
Actually we shouldnt be in that part of the cycle right now. Historically, the first season or two after a major expansion have been the "oh wait, maybe Bungie does know what they're doing" phase that occurs before we descend into season 3 of the year where people get bored and start worrying.
That fact that this is happening so early in the yearly cycle is worthy of note.
Looking For Critique
Hey all, I'm a hobby photographer, took this one a couple days ago and can't seem to structure my own opinion about this snap.
I'm trying to convey the feeling of experiencing a sunset, but I don't think sunset is very well expressed in this picture. I tried to boost the colors a little bit to help, would love some feedback on best practice for that.
Also not sure if I've chosen the best crop, but that's somewhat secondary for me. Any and all feedback is welcome, I'm new to this whole Lemmy thing, here's hoping it goes well!
