that's a big lol, Ubuntu has given me tons of driver problems, and it's only gotten worse since 2010. there really needs to be an option to download an extra-bloated ISO with every possible WiFi driver included. if the WiFi doesn't work, how the hell am I supposed to download the driver?? (rhetorical question) not to mention, the loss of easily installable VMware Tools included with VMware Player / Workstation / vCenter makes it way harder to configure VMs. that last bit isn't Linux's fault, it's VMware being stupid, but is absolutely a barrier to testing out new distros
fwiw, Brave ad blocking for me has been far less effective than using Ublock Origin on literally any other browser
I just want Nvidia to make something $200-300 with 12-16GB VRAM, their price increases and calling $500+ "mid-range" is absolutely criminal
I like AMD but they're still overpriced, nothing compelling in the $200-300 range since 5600 XT and RX 580, and I keep hearing stories about unoptimized drivers (can't confirm myself cause I'm still on 5600 XT with mostly older games). They're the lesser of two evils, but they're far from chad-doge behavior at this point.
