Arcade Emulation Help, OnionOS

I just changed from MinUI to OnionOS on my Miyoo Mini+ to try more forms of emulation such as Arcade. I specifically want to play Bosconian. I got it running via the core "MAME 2003-Plus" using two different ROMsets, "bosco" and "boscomd" from the Archive.org "MAME 2003-Plus Reference Full Non-Merged ROMsets" page.

However, I'm having the same issue with both being "Warning: audo sample(s) not found".

Did I happen to pick two bad ROMsets or is there some larger issue I'm having? Is this a common issue that people know how to fix?

Anyone remember the software that emulates the system link over the internet for the original Xbox?

Years ago, after Xbox Live for the original Xbox shut down, there was a program you could run on your PC that would connect over the internet to others running that software.

It would emulate an Xbox and do matchmaking and your local/physical Xbox would see the others through the program as "local" using the system link option for multiplayer games (Halo, etc)

For the life of me I cannot remember what that was called, and my Google-fu is failing and only returning results for console emulators.

Some friends from college and I dug out our old Xboxes, and we want to setup remote play for Halo 2 and have a nostalgic "Shotguns on Midship" night.

Update: Solved. Thanks, [email protected]. XLink Kai was the software I was thinking of.

Looking for name of a PC game (Windows XP) where you are a disc/ ball

I don't know if its the right Lemmy community to ask but I thought its worth a try haha.

So I'm looking for the name of a game I played around 2000-2007 on windows XP. I would say this game has some similarities to exo one. It‘s also very similar to the game “SpaceRoads” (it’s on steam). The difference to SpaceRoads is that you actually slide down as well (if I remember correctly) and are some sort of ball not a space ship. You’re a ball or disc on a huge slide in space. Your objective is to slide all the way down to finish the level. I think there was a bigger cube after the finish line where you had to slide in. You could easily fall down and there were some obstacles in your way. There were also power ups that let you slow down time when you held down space (you also changed color while slowing down time and holding down space). Another power up was the ability to jump also by pressing space (you also changed color) and one more power up was speeding up by holding down space (not sure about this power up). I’m not really sure about the power up pickups. Maybe it was like one level with the ability to jump when pressing space and the next level with the ability to slow down time while holding space.

Its similar to the game Ballance and Chromadrome. Its like a combination of Ballance, Chromadrome and SpaceRoads.

Any help is hugely appreciated. Thanks everyone!:)

Edit: Graphics wise its similar to the Mario N64 DS multiplayer slide level where youbl could race against your multiplayer buddy.
