Having done judo for more than a decade, that's pretty unrealistic. Orihara would have switched position instead of standing still.
The thing is that at those levels your body reacts before you even have a chance to think. That is why you practice every move you learn thousands of times; it becomes muscle memory.
Yeah, I wrestled for years and years and I agree. This is one of the main reasons I don't really partake of any sports-focused anime/manga. Having done many sports, it is too hard to suspend my disbelief. As I have gotten older, I now run into the same issue with a lot of science-heavy stories since I work professionally in the sciences.
Eh, I understand very well. For me it's IT. I need to skip when there's anything related. 😅
Sporting wise, I want a curling manga. I know nothing about it, but it's so niche it would be fun.
