what the hell, 9 and a half gigs spent on system space?
correct me if i'm wrong, but should the system really take up that much space? and is there any way for me to debloat it or cut it down in some way? thank you all for the help, my phone is a Galaxy A10e
It's not only bloat. From what I remember I think it's also swap space, probably also some space for caching and some other things. E.g. I have 42GB of system space out of 256 on my Galaxy S21, and it's definitely not all bloat apps.
Wait till Google sends you 500 MB+ updates for YouTube etc. The updates will occupy remaining free space and you will soon be out of another 10+ GB omce most programs update.

Yeah it's not exactly true advertising the storage they are. They really should be subtracting the space needed for the system and advertise that as the "true" storage or whatever...
