Looks cool. I'm most concerned about the tone of the show; the games are filled with absurd, exaggerated, and cartoonish elements that work well in that medium, but might come across as unbearably cheesy in live action.
I am an acquaintance of the set designer and saw some sets awhile back. It looks pretty fantastic in terms of art direction. I think it they're gunning for Last Of Us -level quality. Hope it turns out.
Can't agree with you. it seems like the hate towards Howard is only new because Starfield wasn't great. But before that people have been pretty happy with Bethesda. Having Todd happy with what he sees means it's likely going to be faithful to the source material.
Plus Johnathan Nolan is a great writer and director. He's touched a lot of projects that have been hits.
Naah, I remember when Todd ruined Fallout3 for me and when he lied about 200 endings. There are many occasions when he said one thing and did the other. I also remember when they didn't want to pay Obsidian bonuses because Fallout: New Vegas didn't have certain meta-critic score, game which most people still consider best Bethesda published Fallout. They pretty much ruined the whole franchise for me by switching from RPG to whatever it is today, action bullshit linear story with poor gun mechanics. Todd is not a good game director and even worse PR guy. They should use their empire and just STFU and publish games, let the development go to someone else.
I can't comment on Skyrim and other titles, since I have never played them. Some love them others hate them, but I will refrain from commenting on those.
As far as Johnathan is concerned, that might be the case. But many great stories have been ruined by shitty directors, just look at anything Netflix touches.
Huh I never realized Todd Howard was like that. But I strongly disagree that Fallout 3 sucked. But if your comparing what Fallout is today compared to the original two, then I see why your salty.
Anyway I still stink that Bethesda's track records is above average. And I have faith in Johnathan Nolan with that Amazon momey. Todd as an executive is fine as his hands aren't on the reigns.
