What are people using instead of Imgur now for image hosting?
In an effort to try and be mindful of storage usage on instances I'm posting to, I'd prefer to host images externally and link to them.
Now that Imgur has turned into.. whatever it is now, anyone have any good recommendations for simple, quick image hosts?

The Fediverse has a solution already: pixelfed!
65 4 ReplyThat's an instagram clone not an imgur clone. It doesn't really seem to be the drag, drop, and get a throwaway link style service imgur is.

4 0 ReplyYes pretty much most fediverse instances are run by voulenteers on their own hardware time and dime. That is why donations are so important to keep these instances going. Storage space is not cheap and multimedia hosting requires a lot of it.
