I reckon the person who came up with toast just had a loaf of stale bread. Cost of living and all. Up there for thinking.
This is almost certain. I also reckon that the best dishes from any cuisine you care to mention are the ones that use up leftovers. eg pizza, shepherds pie

I have listened so much I know all the inside jokes. They're like a weighted blanket for me, comforting and familiar.
Interesting. The way they pronounced Worcestershire sauce was painful and the fact they think we eat fairy bread toasted was disturbing.
They correct themselves about "toasted" fairy bread in the next episode, via listener mail. Listener mail is always a good listen too.
