At least YouTube shorts has controls now. But videos more than a minute long are nice too.
Instagram does have time seeker, it is just like 0.01mm thick at the bottom and if you have fat fingers, good luck
also it has no proper pause button, if you want to pause, you must hold your finger (like a dead man's switch lol)
Ok joker might be real and he's the guy designing the Instagram UI instead of fighting a billionaire wearing a spandex bat costume
They experimented with a hold temporarily to pause permanently type of thing, but removed it for what I can only assume is an interface dark pattern
