Problem verifying account

My wife tried to create an account on lemmy.world but she seems to be unable to verify her email address.

When she clicks on the link in the email a webpage opens that only say something along the lines of "verify email" and nothing else, not buttons or links to click on.

My suspicion is that the problem is that she waited too long to click on the link. I haven't been able to find a way around it though.

So does anyone have any tips what to do?
