That's what I was thinking about as well: munitions like rockets contain a crap load of bad chemicals in them, what's this doing to the fields used for food crops?
for the military: not anymore. lead for bullets is only used for hunting nowadays and even there it is banned in many countries (being replaced by copper or zinc instead).
