Anyone else not really a fan of George Mann's writing?

I feel like he comes up with cool concepts and then doesn't follow through with them. I loved Gella in Cataclysm. But in Convergence she bored me to tears as well as Rooper and Silandra in QftHC who I also liked much more in BoJ, Cataclysm, and Quest for Planet X. I was so interested in the underground city in Hidden City but it was barely touched on. I was also super interested in that abandoned jedi temple. Also introduced but not touched on.
