I also noticed that religion was absent from most of the star trek stories, and usually, if at all, was associated with an underdeveloped culture, and they would most likely be warlike and a threat.

9 0 ReplyYep, they pretty clearly stated that humanity had moved beyond religion, money, enslaving animals for meat (Riker's words), etc.
Whenever they wanted to show this stuff, they had to run into another civilization.

3 0 ReplyThey weren't. I have heard the later seasons got better but they fucked up so much. My biggest issue was Picard was like....happy and Jokey.
He smiled like....9 times in TNG.
