If you look at the larger ones, it looks like they have a "socket" in the top for the smaller brown bits to fit in

It's not the slickest production, but gives you an idea of what they're up against in terms of the demining task ahead of them, and the lack of resources they're facing.
Pretty much all of their equipment and even boots are bought with donations, not funding from the Ukrainian government.
