Does anyone know why YouTube usernames suddenly changed?
I just logged onto YouTube for the first time today, and there's a random number appended to my username. Everyone's usernames, as far as I can see. Does anyone know what that's all about?

They changed the names to allow for @ handles and tagging/pinging people. They add random numbers to help with uniqueness. You can go edit yours in your settings at any time.
