Episode 3&4 Discussion [spoilers!]

Haven't seen any post yet and I only just now finished watching the two episodes. Watch out for spoilers if you haven't seen them yet!

It is quite a different tone than Adventure Time still, like the intro music is more spooky/weird than the happy tune in AT.

Also wondering if more from the Distant Lands series pops up, like the dome world in space from the BMO episode.

Love me some new Prismo though, too bad he has not been having a good time recently.

  • Sorry yeah I was planning to make the discussion post earlier, just been busy and didn't get around to it. Thanks for starting it! Reminders for anyone else that comments to mark spoilers in a spoiler tag, just in case. SPOILERS BELOW:

    Spoilies beware!

I loved how the characters from "Up a Tree" returned in Cake the Cat. Never thought we'd be seeing them all again. It's interesting how each episode has had such a different tone, reflecting the character's they focus on, I like it. I really thought that Cake eating all those magical fruits was going to be the catalyst for getting her powers, but it turns out that wasn't the case.

The reveal in ep. 4 that Prismo created F+C universe was great. Explains the red beam, makes a lot of sense. Nice to know that their universe is "real", although exploring the reality of fiction is definitely a theme for this series.

I really hope we get to know more about Prismo's boss. They keep teasing them. Seeing more of the time room was great, and I LOVED the time titans striking each other sending waves of time throughout the multiverse. So cool!

Overall loving the direction of the show, and am interested to see if/how we get a return of the Ice King, as hinted at the end.

I noticed that Finns dad was in the list of fugitives. Didn't Prismo say the dude, forgot his name, only hunts gods? Maybe he said he hunts gods, without excluding he could hunt down others too.

  • Finn's behavior and winkiness is becoming more and more like Martin
