[Bug] weird error when trying to upload a photo

Says "Unexpected character (at character 1)". I would upload a screen shot, but, well...

Upload to where? A lot of lemmy instances have image uploads turned off right now.

Hey, I encountered this error too. Check to see if your instance has blocked image hosting recently. Many have been doing so recently due to the CSAM issues on [email protected].

You'll need to host your image on an image hosting site, for example: Imgur or imgbb.
