Just a quick note, i'll probably be moving this instance to the domain Lemmy.NewMexico.soccer . This will make things better as we grow this community. I still love the current domain, but what I love and what is best for the community are not always the same.
Actually looks like moving domains is not possible with Lemmy because it breaks federation. I'm still looking into solutions. I may need to spin up a new instance to and transition to that.
Would you be interested in communities on your instance not related to soccer? Like a New Mexico instance? [email protected] is pretty quiet but there are some users who may join.
I mean, sure. But currently, both my domains have a soccer theme. If I went a more general New Mexico route, a more general tld would be appropriate.
