Do other people think "Tyrannosaurus!" soon as they read the name Mastodon?
And is it too much to ask the fediverse to contain a pterodactyl, triceratops, and saber tooth tiger themed apps?

Mastodon is an awesome name. Calling their tweets "toots" however...

it's lovely and whimsical! Much better than just "posts" which is what they've renamed them to :(
Maybe it's cultural but "toots" just make me think of farts.
Same! Fart jokes are very funny though. People who don't find farts funny are choosing to have less joy in their life but the same amount of farts ;)
